Udhampur, Aug 26: Padmashree Geeta Chandran, a well renowned artist and alumnus of Lady Shri Ram, New Delhi, captured the hearts of Army Public School, Udhampur with her graceful and flawless dance forms in a function held in the premises of School, in Udhampur today. Geeta Chandra was in the school along with her team comprising of Radhika Kathal her disciple, S.Venkateshwaran the lead vocalist, S.Shankar who played the Mridangam and Rohit Prasanna who played the flute. The programme started with the traditional lighting of the lamp of knowledge in the honour of Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of intellect. The Chairman of the school, Brig Manoj Mohan was all praise for the scintillating performance and exhorted students to excel in their chosen fields with self-discipline and perseverance. |
