Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 26: To inculcate the leadership qualities among students, the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2015-16 was held at the Nelsum Exquisite Millenium Hall at JK Public School Kunjwani. The member of the school management, Sara Siddharth Daluja, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The investiture ceremony was followed by Sehar-e-Ghazal, the Inter House Competition of ghazals presented by the Primary Wing of the school. The quality of singing left everyone spellbound. Guntas Kaur (Tagore House) and Pranav Sharma (Radhakrishnan House) stood first. The second and the third positions were bagged by Akriti Karan (Bhagat Singh House) and Ajmat Farooq (Tilak House) respectively. Brig. Sukhdev Singh, the Director, congratulated the newly appointed School Council and exhorted them to take on their responsibilities in the right earnest. He also asked them to be exemplary in their conduct. Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Director, JK Educational Society, was also present. Jaikaar Singh (Class XI) and Purvi Verma (Class XI) were adjudged as the Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. The Chief Guest presented sashes to them. The School Council comprising of Vice Head Boy Siddarth Arya Jolly, Vice Head Girl Sanya Mirza, Sports Captain (Boy) Ukshay Sharma, Sports Captain (Girl) Vaishali Choudhary, Vice Sports Captain (Boy) Altamash Rashid, Vice Sports Captain (Girl) Ananya Thapa, Discipline Captain Ishwinder Singh, Asst. Discipline Captain Riddhima Gupta, Cultural Captain Anjali Singh and Asst. Cultural Captain Farhana Parveen were given sashes by the senior faculty members. The Captains, Vice Captains and the prefects of all the four houses were pinned sashes too. The Head Girl Purvi Verma administered the oath and the members of the council pledged to adhere to the values upheld by the school. Puneet Kour, the Vice Principal, proposed the Vote of Thanks and the programme concluded with a note of positivity and hope for the future leaders. |
