Budha Amarnathji Yatra:, 700 pay obeisance

POONCH, Aug 26: On the 8th day of the ongoing annual Budha Amarnathji Yatra, 700 yatris paid obeisance at the Holy Shrine. Till date 14700 yatris have paid obeisance including 4961 from outside the state. The final batch of 138 yatris from outside the state reached Poonch this evening. Yatra will enter the concluding phase tomorrow with the leaving of the Holy Mace (Chhari Mubarak) from Dashnami Akhara. Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh will flag off the procession carrying the Holy Mace from Dashnami Akhara for marking the final ritual of the annual sojourn at the holy Shrine in Mandi. After covering a distance of about 20 kms by foot, the holy journey will conclude at Mandi. At Chandak and Mandi locals will receive the yatris. Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Nisar Ahmed Wani and Senior Superintendent of Police, J S Johar, district administration has made all the arrangements to ensure that the pilgrims do not face any inconvenience.
