basohli, Aug 26: Nine houses damages due to landslide in Dhar Kohar village of tehsil Mahanpur, district Kathua.
Reports said that people were evacuated safe and shifted to Dhar Mahanpur. Peoples whose houses damaged including Babu Ram S/o Nika Ram, Prem Chand S/o Nika Ram, Mohan Lal S/o Hari Ram, Shibo Devi W/o Tek Chand, Isher Dass S/o Jagto Ram, Krishan Chand S/o Dani Ram, Uttam Chand S/o Hari Ram and Santosh Devi W/o Ganesh Dutt. Sarpanch of panchyat Dhar Kohar, Maso Ram said that nine houses were entirely damaged and land has been skidded.
He further said that the similar incident occurred few years back but no permanent solution was found out by administration even after highlighting the landslide zone in number of times. "Officials of district administration visits on the spot and distributed relief material to effected families", Sarpanch said. |
