Samba, Sept 2: The employees of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Samba branch on Wednesday held a demonstration in protest against the management of the Corporation and the Centre Government for their apathetic approach towards settlement of wage revision and one more option for pension. The demonstration, organized under the banner of AIIEA and NZIEA, was also supported and endorsed by about ten other Trade Unions. During the protest, the employees voiced their concerns requiring immediate attention of the government as delay in justice to them would not only jeopardize their professional decorum but will have worst effect on common man whom the Corporation serves. They said that timely official benefits, to which employees are entitled, can encourage them to extend optimum advantage to people as it also reflects due recognition to their work.
