Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 13: Jammu is up in arms against its 'nationalist saffron party' (BJP) as it has turned into lame duck. Most people have discarded the party and have started believing that BJP's only aim was to attain power. BJP leaders leaving no stone unturned to appease their Kashmir centric partner has proved the critics right that party has bartered the rights of Jammu people just for the sake of reaping the fruits of power.
Not the statistics, logics or any opinion generating reasons are attributed to Bhartiya Janta Party's failure, but the assortment of its bunch in the Cabinet that has brazenly and openly given a strong rationale for Jammuites to believe how the party failed to deliver.
"Since the release of agenda of alliance and the party high command's decision to pick up the lot to distribute the ministries to the BJP MLAs, there have been great resentment in the cadre which lamented that party had picked up the failures, losers, turncoats and appeasers in the coalition over the real faces in the party," said one of the senior leader of the BJP wishing not to be named.
He said at the outset, the name making rounds of Nirmal Singh to be contested as Deputy Chief Minister in the coalition had raised many eyebrows.
"We failed to understand as to how a 'proven failure in the party since its inception in Jammu and Kashmir, Nirmal Singh's name was proposed and accepted by the party for the highest post in the Government. He had been a loser throughout his tenure except riding the Modi wave that he could make into the MLAs list of BJP, "was the first abhorring comment from the leader.
Terming Lal Singh as the turncoat from Congress into BJP and securing a most important berth as the Health Minister of the State, the BJP leader said following the biggest loser in Nirmal Singh, the party batted for the ruthless Congress turncoat who had dubbed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'breed-less'. He also forwarded a link of youtube of dated Feb 7, 2014 (www.youtube.com/watch?v=297-yM8lgB8&hd=1) where Lal Singh has even dubbed BJP as most corrupt party while singing praises of Rahul Gandhi and his earlier clan.
About Abdul Ghani Kohli as Transport Minister, the BJP leader said that to appease a community class , a person of most dishonesty and having a proven record of corrupt past was chosen about whom the media is shrieking with loud echoes.
Even for Sajjad Lone given a Ministerial berth, the BJP leader said," appeasing a separatist turned mainstream politician, the BJP had at the outset given its hints of throwing its ideology to winds to grab power in Jammu and Kashmir".
Giving all this account in one wrap-up, the BJP senior leader said, " later on to adjust their "left-outs", the party brought in some people to "fill-in-the blanks" in MoS scale and MLC quota.
"Even the choice of coronation of the heads of the various welfare boards and different organizations, the BJP picked up people only after consulting the PDP cadre , first to satiate their priority needs ," concluded the leader adding that the party is seeing its meeting of its waterloo in very near future.
