DB issues directives in 'abandoning of Shankuntla-Janipur Fly-Over project' 11/18/2015 11:39:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 18: A Division Bench (DB) of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur directed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) to file status report said project, failing which he shall remain present in the Court on next date of hearing. When the hearing upon PIL was taken up here today, the Division Bench (DB) after hearing Sr Adv SS Lehar with Adv Aditya Sharma appearing for the petitioner whereas AAG Ehsan Mirza appearing for the state, directed CEO ERA to file status report in this regard. The petitioner President Citizen Forum, RK Chadha has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking court directions about abandoning of fly-over project from Shakuntla Chowk-Janipura road for some extraneous reasons. Absconder held after 8 yrs in Kathua Early Times Report Jammu. Nov 18: Police claimed to have arrested an accused who was evading his arrest for the last eight years. According to police spokesperson, the accused has been identified namely as Sain s/o Mohd Titer of village Phool Piyara, Pathankote. Police said the accused has been booked in case FIR No 27/2002 u/s 379/34 RPC and was evading his arrest. Following specific input about his movements the police team led by SHO Ritesh Singh alongwith Head Constable Sadiq Ali conducted a raid at the possible hideout and apprehended the absconder.
