| Despite Govt orders, officers refuse rolling back of attached persons | | | A B Sharma

Jammu, Nov 18: Despite government's strict stipulations not to attach the teachers at any level, the illegal business is flourishing unabated in District Rajouri, tehsil Sunderbani.
The education minister Naeem Akhtar who only yesterday conducted a high-level meet of the concerned officers at Dak Bungalow Sunderbani had again reiterated his strong communication to the district commissioner Rajouri to take cognizance of the mar and release the attached people while returning then to their original place of posting.
Notwithstanding the government order, some departmental offices and institutions have set aside the stipulations and pursuing with the illegal attachment thus bringing ignominy to the education ministry as well as big dent to the education infra of Rajouri.
As per information, despite getting the orders to relive the attached persons, the ZEO Lower Hatthal , Bimla Devi has turned out to be an impregnable forte in the tehsil. The case of headmaster Rakesh Kumar is quite conspicuous here. The headmaster whose original place of posting is Rugga Chhani as Headmaster has been attached at ZEO Lower Hathal since past six years with Bimla Devi, ZEO passing her diktats on him.
When contacted, Bimla Devi gave a very rough answer, "Studies of the students can be secondary , but for the execution of office works here are more important ," said Bimal Devi even overruling the minister' stricture to relieve back the attached head master .
Same is the case for Bharat Bhushan of middle school Gurah Chatal who have been attached to Barnada.
" While Bharat Bhushan has been appointed under the ReT scheme, the guidelines for the same is that no ReT teacher can be transferred or attached to any office , but Bimla Devi's reign of terror has no superseding of any minister even," disclosed the sources .
The orders for both are passed under 1486-89/ZEO/LH. CEO Rajouri Mohammad Altaf when contacted assured to take the cognizance of the matter and said he will streamline the procedure.
The Lower Hatthal ZEO has a lady Geeta Bharti, a zonal resource person , whose job is to attend the school, Government primary school Marcholla for three days and utilize other three days of the week to educate students and teachers in the field is also a close confidante of Bimla Devi who has abandon her duties and embraced Bimla Devi's patronage . |
