| Divisive NC is Kashmir's mouthpiece | | In Jammu, divisive autonomywallas dub neglected nationalists 'divisive' | | ET Report
JAMMU, Nov 18: The Valley-based sectarian and protagonist of limited accession with India, National Conference (NC), and its Jammu-based handful of agents have unleashed a vilification campaign against the nationalist people of Jammu region by dubbing as "divisive" their genuine demand seeking trifurcation of the State into Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh States. They have been meeting the State Governor, holding press conferences and issuing provocative statements almost on a daily-basis. On Tuesday, it was Ali Mohammad Sagar & Co which poured venom on the neglected, suppressed and oppressed nationalists and poked his nose in the affairs of Jammu and Ladakh, despite the fact that the NC has no support-base in the region. Yes, the NC won four-five seats in the 2014 Assembly elections, but they won these seats by default.
And these autonomywallas have been criticizing the neglected nationalist in Kashmir and Jammu to strike a chord with Kashmiri separatists like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah and others of their ilk as well as perverted opinion makers in the Valley and the various civil society groups, who want the State to remain one single unit so that Kashmir and Kashmiri people continue to exploit the people of Jammu region and the region's natural resources to enrich the Kashmiri economy and help the people of the Valley to lead a prosperous life at the cost of the ignored, discriminated against and marginalized people of this region.
These autonomywallas have been denouncing the constitutional demand in Jammu and Ladakh for the trifurcation of the State or opposing the demand in Ladakh for Union Territory status for the region to ensure that the sectarian and separatist Kashmiri leadership, which has been at the helm of affairs in the State since October 1947 without any break, is able to force down the throat their perverted, anti-India and pro-Pakistan ideology and create in Jammu region and Ladakh a situation that compelled the miniscule minority of Kashmiri Hindus to quit their house and hearths to become refugees in their own motherland. The determined and nationalist people of Jammu region and Ladakh will not allow their sinister game plan to succeed as they are brave enough to hold their own against all heavy odds and there are innumerable instances available in this regard.
A reference to just one instance in this regard would be enough to make the point. These autonomywallas and sycophants of the Abdullahs should meet Farooq Abdullah to know what the people of Jammu did to him and others of his ilk at the Jammu Airport in 2008.
These handful of autonomywallas from Jammu have also been opposing those in this region of hapless refugees and brave Dogras and elsewhere in the country who have been demanding the State's complete constitutional integration with India. The people of Jammu region, including refugees from Pakistan, displaced Kashmiri Hindus and backward social groups and classes, have been demanding abrogation of anti-national and anti-people Article 370 and repeal of separatist Article 35-A so that the State is brought at par with other States of the Union and they exercise all the rights available under the Indian Constitution which are available to their counterparts in the rest of the country. But the Jai Chands in Jammu to please their Kashmiri masters have been shamelessly claiming that these atrocious provisions of the Indian Constitution are the identity of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. "These provisos are the identity of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions," they have been saying.
Let them say what they want, but the fact of the matter is that the neglected nationalist Jammu province and Ladakh region will achieve their most cherished goal sooner than later. This is a statement of fact and can be verified from the developments which have been unfolding beneath the surface. These autonomywallas must not forget that they have to reckon with the brave Dogras and other sections of society whatever they may think of them. |
