JAMMU, Nov 22 : The police headquarters (PHQ), acting tough against an ex-MLA of Srinagar, who had illegally retained four PSOs, including a Sub-Inspector, has withdrawn his three security personnel.
He had unlawfully retained the SI and three cops, including two selection grade constables, as PSOs, according to police sources. When he refused to surrender his excessive PSOs, the PHQ acted tough and withdrew his three PSOs, including the SI, sources said and added that even as MLA, he was not authorised to keep a SI with him. The two withdrawn selection grade cops belong to IRP's 13 and 20 Bns. Their commandants had been asked to inform PHQ after they rejoined their services, sources. The MLA, who belongs to Srinagar district, had lost the last assembly elections. |
