150 kanal Forest land retrieved as fight between Forest Deptt, Minister's PRO intensified 11/29/2015 12:38:42 AM Early Times Report srinagar, Nov 28: Infighting between Forest Department and PRO of a Cabinet Minister has been intensified as the former hit back late this evening and retrieve 150 kanal of land illegally occupied by the later. PRO of a Cabinet minister had allegedly attacked team of the Forest Department, which had gone to retrieve the land allegedly encroached by the PRO. This evening a team of Forest Protection Force (FPF) started eviction drive to teach a lesson to the PRO who had allegedly attacked team of Forest Department on Friday. According to confidential report, "In an forest land eviction drive at Sangerwani in compartment Ri 24C of Sangerwani block Shopian forest division, today an immediate and effective compliance to directions issued by higher ups was made by Deputy Director FPF Pulwama and Anantnag. In a coordinated effort between FFP and territorial Forest Department, 50 FPF personnels under the command of two Deputy Directors were deployed at the site of eviction. It was made sure that no interference or obstacle is being created by any notorious elements in the raising of angle iron fencing by forest department and hence the eviction of encroached forest land. During the day long drive some 7.5 hectares equal to 150 kanals of land has been evicted .
