| DMWC bats for registration of left-over Doda migrants | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov. 29: Doda Migrant Welfare Committee today demanded for incorporation of unregistered Doda migrants who are scattered in various Districts of Jammu Province saying that they are suffering for want of relief on the parity of Doda and other migrants.
In the press conference, MLA’s of Doda District, Shakti Parihar,Dalip Parihar, Sunil Sharma and Neelam Langeh from Ramban were present who expressed their happiness over the Central Govt efforts for granting the relief at par with the Kashmiri migrants but they underlined the need of struggling for other benefits to Doda Migrants.
Addressing a press conference at Press Club, the President of the Committee informed that a new Committee has been constituted by dissolving the earlier one and the new committee is committed to do every possible effort to raise their voice at every forum in order to get the genuine demands of the Doda Migrants fulfilled. He lamented that there are families who have yet not been brought under the respective categories and whose cases are pending action in the Relief Organization since a pretty long time for want of registration status as Migrants.
He further informed that the Committee has surveyed the locations of unregistered migrants of Doda and a comprehensive list of such impending beneficiaries will be submitted to the Relief Organization shortly. While expressing his gratitude to the MLAs, he urged them to help the Committee to fight for the cause of Doda Migrants. |
