Jammu, May 22: DPK expressed his resentment over renaming 'Hari Parbat' as Koh-e-Maran by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department here today.
According to press release, in a recent newspaper advertisement by J&K Tourism "Celebrating Heritage", and organising "Kashmir Fort Festival" from 23-25 May in Kashmir., the newspaper advertisement mentioned the venue as Koh-e- Maran (Hari Parbat) instead of Hari Parbat.
The party convenor said that the government and the Principal Secretary to Government of J&K, Tourism Department to clarify the government stand and issue a corrigendum to this advertisement at an earliest as the date of the festival is from 23rd to 25th May., otherwise it will be treated as the government is also interested in islamisation of the historical places and forts. |
