Early Times Report
Jammu, May 22: Despite numbers of Non Government Organisations (NGO) or others, which are only working for upliftment women and fight for the cause of women, but its seem they failed to raise voice of those women who are continuously sexually being exploited by the officials of the police department as well as others departments.
Penitently, three cases of sexploitation and spurt in crime against women by officers of police department as well as other government department.
Seeking anonymity, a women group- who are working in police department- told Early Times that the women working in the police department have been physically exploiting by the few senior officials of the department for last many years but few cases are reported due to pressurize from higher authority as well as 'social stigma' so that 'these kind of people' are succeed and easily escaped from the case.
"Not only crime against women reporting in a police department, there are other civil government department where female physically and mentally are exploiting but few cases are reported, "they narrated and adding that it is very unfortunate that back to back (SHO Khour Police Station, who has been accused of raping a newly married girl, a Patwari allegedly demanded sexual favour from a female at Reasi and Court issued summon to a SHO for allegedly molesting a 9th class girl in his custody) three cases have been reported, but so called organizations for women' cause have not extended helping hands toward the victims who are dire need of counseling as well as support.
Showing resentment toward women organization s in State, they alleged that there are numbers of organizations which are working for upliftment of women and their cause and seen in newspapers by claiming that they were working for women cause. "Where have these organizations gone in these cases?, they asked. They further said moreover various government department as well as organizations have been organising awareness camps, seminars, debate and others events on security of women for last many years in the State but when some officials of law enforcement department are law breakers then how can working women feel safe in government department.
