JAMMU, May 21: Getting tougher against 31 'blue-eyed' police personnel, police headquarters has ordered the cancellation of their attachment orders. They included four Inspectors, 26 SIs and one cop. Most of them stood transferred to the valley, but, using their connections with politicians and senior police officers, they had managed their stay in Jammu and continued to 'unlawfully' work against the posts they held at the time of their transfers. Taking a serious note of it, PHQ has issued an order, asking their immediate bosses to relieve them at the earliest so that they can join their new places of posting, according to police sources. "It has been made clear to them that PHQ will initiate strict action against them in case they don't join their new places of posting by Monday, ie May 23," sources said. Most of them had the backing of some politicians and senior police officers, the sources added. |
