Jammu, May 22: Habitual of remaining in news for doings controversial in its nature and content, a politician turned BJP leader to grab ministry in state has again triggered controversy over his remarks disgracing majority community.
Referring to media reports, he said that he has once again gone out of gear to hit the majority community by hurting it reminding the massacre of 1947 which speaks of his level of nature still immature reminding the public of his old early days when he was a common man and not a minister, further expressed astonishing that how people forget their past when intoxication of power rides on them which is transitory ,adding that one must always be kind and courteous with those who meet him when he goes up because they will definitely meet him when he comes down.
Recapitulating his acts of highhandedness , political analysts remind that during his earlier tenure as Health Minister, he indulged into harassing govt employees as even he did not spare a lady doctor and disgraced her in public setting into motion controversy over his behaviour unbecoming of a responsible person holding position of a minister who should have rather concentrated more on policy matter and devised innovative measures to improve the health services leaving small matters of routine like use of aprons, name plates and others alike issues on huge paraphernalia of officers in the department who can better handle such matters of trivial nature , but from where to get that wisdom is a million dollar question, they added.
Political observers analysing the remarks of the minister hurting sentiments of a particular community point out that J&K state is inhabited with population of different religious faith, divergent culture and languages and above all age old bonds of amity and communal harmony and the job of a politician converts to be of great responsibility to guard the heterogeneous colours of J&K when he becomes a minister in the govt swearing in the name of God to work for unity and integrity of the country and protects interests of people irrespective of caste and creed or party consideration.
One wonders to learn from the media reports that a group of farmers meeting a minister at his residence to apprise him of their grievances and seeking his help for solution face his odd questionings to which community they belonged, a social activist flayed saying that instead of focusing on the problems of poor farmers who approached the minister , he started fondling and playing with their emotions without any rhyme or reason and now the matter is reportedly in the notice of BJP high command which may cost him heavily given the present sagging image of BJP and its leaders like him in the state due to their political immaturity, incompetence and total failure to establish their mettle proving them as asset instead of a liability which has taken the public of Jammu much far away from these so called leaders who have efficiently done the work of rubbing salt on the wounds of public here dashing hopes of people to ground who remained victim of discrimination and step motherly treatment from Kashmiri leaders since independence.
The sources further told that people very close to the minister are allegedly misusing his position to take undue advantage frightening the officials in Kathua district who are keeping mum to avoid wrath of the minister likely to be made public shortly . |
