Early Times Report
Poonch, May 22: Provincial Youth National Conference Jammu Ajaz Jan on Sunday sought immediate dismissal of Forest Minister Choudhry Lal Singh for his highly provocative, threatening and abusive language against Gujjars, saying this has hurt the feelings of secular people of Jammu and Kashmir.
"BJP seems to be pursuing its vicious agenda of creating wedge between various segments of society to further its political interests in the Jammu region", Jan said while addressing workers meeting at Chandak in Poonch this afternoon.
Jan cautioned the coalition government against testing patience of people by bringing them eyeball to eyeball situation and said the sinister designs of the BJP will not be allowed to succeed. He blamed PDP for facilitating imposition of RSS agenda in Jammu and Kashmir. In this context, he referred to the clandestine attempts being made to erode Article 370 and said the leaders of PDP in their earlier avatars have been instrumental in trampling the special status of the state.
Referring to crisis erupted in the wake of implementation of National Food Security Act and shortage of supplies on CAPD stores, Jan said that though the minister concerned is making tall claims and promises during his public discourse yet at ground zero the situation is highly alarming. In this context, he made a mention of the minister seeking central assistance and said this reflects hollowness of the food packages being announced during public meetings.
"Denial of ration to the targeted segments of society is worse type of harassment which the coalition government is inflicting upon the people", he added.
Abdul Ahad Bhat, Abdul Ahad Malik, Choudhary Saleem Kharee, Mohd Ishaq Khan, Ismaieel Bhat, Abdul Jabar Tantray ,Wali Mohd Tantray and Mohd Akbar Paray were also present during the meeting.
