Jammu, May 22: Two youth drowned today in separate incidents at different places in Jammu region here today.
Police sources said that a 24-year-old youth, who went to Jajjhar Nullah for picnic drowned there.
The identity of the deceased has been established as Manik Gupta son of Ashwani Kumar Gupta of Rehari Colony, Jammu.
Police further said that the youth had gone to picnic along with his friends at Jhajjar Nallah, near Badsoo Bridge and he might be went into deep water owing to which he drowned.
"After getting the information, they reached the spot, recovered body and conducted post-mortem of the body at Public Health Centre (PHC) Dansal", a police official.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old youth drowned at Bashal Nallah in Chenani Tehsil.
The identity of the deceased has been established as Ishaaq son of Hasham of Halla, Dundraat, Ramban.
Police said that the deceased was bathing in the nallah and washed away by a sudden flow of water.
Police have registered both the cases at their concerned police stations and started further investigations in this regard. |
