Excise Department organizes painting competition

Jammu, May 22: Under its ongoing Mega Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse, under social responsibility programme, initiated by the Jammu & Kashmir Excise Department in collaboration with J&K Wine Traders/Bar with Hotel & Restaurants Association, today organized painting competitions in different Excise Ranges of the State. The idea of organizing such programmes under social responsibility is brainchild of Dr. Haseeb Drabu, Finance Minister J&K. The theme of the painting was 'Drug Addiction is an invitation to Death & Destruction. More than 2,000 students hailing from various schools took part in the painting competitions held at various venues falling under different Excise Ranges including Degree College, Leh, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh, Srinagar, Girls Higher Secondary School, Ranibagh, Anantnag, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sopore, Kala Kendra at Bikram Chowk, Jammu, Community Hall, Vijaypur, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Kathua, Government M.L Higher Secondary School, Udhampur, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Doda and Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Rajouri.
The Excise Department Samba, under the social responsibility programme, today conducted a painting competition at Community Hall, Vijaypur in which 128 students from class 1st to 12th of various schools of Bari Brahmana, Vijaypur and Samba participated. The painting competition was organized throughout the state under the guidance of the Excise Commissioner and Deputy Excise Commissioner Jammu and Kashmir.
The theme of the competition was "Drug addiction is invitation to death and destruction" SDM Vijaypur Rajneesh Gupta, ETO Tinna Mahajan, CEO Samba OP Bhagat, Susheel Bhat , Arti Khajuria, Dharamvir,Anurag and Shamsher from excise department and teachers from different schools were also present on a occasion.
Painting competition on drug abuse organized at Govt Higher Secondary School Rajouri by Excise Department Rajouri. In the said painting competition on the theme Drug addiction an invitation to death and destruction children from different schools of Rajouri participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The little kids tried their level best to make young generation aware about the bad impacts of use of drug in society in particular and young generations in general.
To create awareness among the youth against Drug Abuse and Addiction, a Painting Competition on the theme "Drug Addiction is an Invitation to Death and Destruction" was organized by Department of Excise Udhampur-Reasi range in collaboration with J&K Wine Traders/ Bar with Hotel & Restaurants Association, Udhampur at Government Higher Secondary School, Boys, Udhampur here today.
