| It is a universal fact that whenever something goes wrong within a political party and much is exposed in local media that trickle down to the public domain, the party stand is that it is the handy work of opposition to malign the party image and non from the party come forward to apprise the common man about the facts and the matter is suppressed, as internal matter of party and show goes on. But a very sensational disclosure was in media through news reporting on 9th. June 2016 captioned as "Activities of senior BJP minister's wife on RSS radar" and it was reported that 'the BJP high command and top functionaries of the 'Sangh Parivar' have come to know about various acts of omissions and commissions by high profile wife of a senior BJP minister. However, the consistent and close vigil on the activities of the said lady, who is virtually acting as super minister of the portfolios, under charge of her husband, have made several revelations about her luxurious life style and newly added assets, with free flow of income through unknown sources'. This was an expose of the Modi jee's tall claim in election rallies that 'Na Khaunga Na Khaney Dunga' and a press conference was expected from the BJP party spokes person on the matter but a criminal silence strengthened the belief of the revelations. Although during short period of Governor's rule, much whisper was in public circle regarding payments for transfers/adjustments to some lady, who happens to be the wife of a minister of concerned department. But many people kept their lips tight in pinpointing the minister, where as the people associated with political power corridors, were well aware about the lady and the minister. The identity of the concerned was suppressed as a gesture of good sense prevailing in the minds of the reporters of this sensational disclosure. The corruption allegations have time and again been leveled by one and other leader against each other and against parties, but the allegation against the wife of a senior BJP minister, was one of unique in its nature, where no allegations were leveled against the minister itself and all were directed towards his wife, who happens to be a very high position holder of vice president of the BJP in the state. What does it speak? In a plane understanding we can say that it was a safe by-pass by the minister to avoid direct allegations against him and to have a way to save his own skin before the 'Sangh ideology', which does not tolerate the corruption by any one of its political face. It is unbelievable that the minister was not aware of the activities of his wife. Why it was so? Need no comments as every right thinking person can understand in a well defined way. As reported earlier that RSS had warned this minister to restrain his wife from exerting too much influence on his official function, following numerous complaints against the same, appears to have been avoided by the concerned minister and as an outcome, we find again in the news under caption " BJP minister's wife forced to resign from party post" and the news goes as ' After getting all authentic information about the style of function of wife of the minister, BJP directed the minister to ask his wife to submit his resignation from the post of the party and sources said that resignation has already been sent to party state president and forwarded to the central leadership'.
If submission of resignation is the fact, then one un-pleasant message has gone to public domain that these are not the male leaders only, who are spoiling the image of BJP but, the farer sex in the party is also not for behind their male leaders.
Here when has no option except to praise the right step taken by the RSS and central leadership against the mischievous element prevalent in the public service in the guise of pseudo leaders, amassing huge wealth on the power strength of party posts and ministries of their husbands, by hitting hard on the wife of the minister? But it is somewhere disturbing that why both RSS and BJP central leadership are soft to the concerned minister and have given him amnesty, which is indirectly beneficiary of the misdeeds and corrupt practices of his wife and who has let lose the reins of corruption and dictates through his wife. Another disturbing fact is that mere resignation of the wife of the alleged minister is going to deter her from her style of dominating the affairs of the ministry run by her husband. The hard and soft attitude simultaneously of both RSS and Central BJP leadership raises eye brows and similar treatment and prescription was expect to be handed down to the husband minister as given to his wife for a fair consideration. The other right perspective would have been there, that the concerned minister who so ever is, should have taken moral responsibility for the deeds of his wife and have resigned from the ministry and leadership of the party but such type of leaders with pseudo character are always on the forefront propagating their great deeds among playing of a filmy song somewhere "Ek Chehre Pe Kai Chehre Lga Letey Hain Log". The quote by Richard J. Needham, a Canadian humor columnist, 'Every woman needs one man in her life that is strong and responsible. Given this situation, she can proceed to do what she really wants to do' quite relevant to the topic.
It is not out of context to refresh that in 2008 nine of the BJP MLAs from Jammu were disqualified and shown the doors from BJP by the central leadership for corrupt means adopted for cross voting in favor of Rajya Sabha NC candidate but were taken back to the party fold after the people's memory faded on the episode. The present move cannot be taken as an exception to it.
In the advanced stage of development and liberalized visionary thinking, when we speak of providing of equal opportunities to the woman and their empowerment, such type of existing practices and shameful exposes put a crushing blow on the advancement of these required measures. Such type of fictitious leaders that may be male or female become a road block for genuine persons in queue to become leader in real perspective. The leaders have to fix a "Laxman Rekha' in loosening the restrictions on their better halves, in their day to day performance of duties towards the common people especially those one holding seats of power as ministers. What may be the facts in this episode of resignation by wife of a senior BJP minister from the post of vice-president of the party, in view of allegations of 'Newly added assets with free flow of income through unknown sources' is a criminal act and can well be understood that with the active facilitation of minister, hence a magisterial enquiry is required through a Judge of High Court against both wife and husband minister to come to the prima facie facts necessary for registration of case under relevant provisions of the corruption act. 'Perhaps it is better to be irresponsible and right than to be responsible and wrong' let the words of Winston Churchill be followed by such type of ministers. Last but not least advice to such leaders how wicked and cunning he may be, he should realize that "Yeh Jo Public Hai Sab Janti Hai, Andar Kya Hai Bahir Kya Hai Yeh Sab Janti Hai".
