Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 11: Under a well thought conspiracy, fundamentalists and radical elements in Valley on the behest of Pakistan are trying to eliminate all the symbols of composite culture as well as ancient civilization in Kashmir Valley.
According to sources under a hatched conspiracy by Pakistan steps are being taken to polarize Kashmir by eroding every symbol of ancient culture and civilization of Kashmir. The symbols of composite culture and rich civilization which nurtured Kashmir for centuries together is being eroded to convert it into a theocratic State.
This conspiracy was hatched by Pakistan soon after the creation of Bangladesh and division of Pakistan into two parts, sources added. Pakistani rulers since then worked on a gameplan of seceding Kashmir from India by turning it into a theocratic State after encouraging the radical forces in Valley.
The first thing which Pakistan did in this regard was that it diverted all the resources to strengthen the Jamat_e_Islamia so that it can emerge as a viable political alternative in Valley. To make its gameplan successful Pak pumped huge funds in Kashmir to spread the Jamat movement in Kashmir.
Sources said this mostly happened after the execution of Z A Bhutoo in 1978 when the Jamat people faced the public wrath in Kashmir. Their houses were torched and property was damaged all over Valley.
To revenge its defeat in Bangladesh war Pakistan concentrated on Kashmir and first thing it did is that entire minority was forced to flee from Kashmir in 1989_90. Later to pursue this policy Pakistan encouraged its agents to erode all symbols of Kashmiri culture in the Valley.
They also changed the names of some famous places which were linked to ancient culture of Kashmir and this trend is still continuing.
