Kathua, Oct 15: Rural Development Department RDD Kathua under the direction of District Administration today organized huge rally cum cultural programme to aware the people about cleanliness .
MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia and DDC Kathua Ramesh Kumar flagged off the rally from Shaheed Bhagat Singh park for Sports Stadium Kathua in which Sarpanch Panchs, youths, students took active part and moved towards entire town and culminated at main venue for culture programme at stadium.
MLA Kathua appreciated the efforts being taken by the department, district administration and especially students and people voluntarily to fulfill the dream for clean Bharat dreamt by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
MLA said," People should come forward voluntarily to make the surrounding neat & clean that would not only make the environment hygienic but also beneficial for good health.
He said," PM's mission appeared to be moving towards positive side and awareness has been waked up among people and wished to continue with the drive in future too.
DDC Kathua informed that number of programmes like debate, painting, awareness camps, personal interaction, nukad natak were organised at village level to aware the people about cleanliness during this fortnight programme Swachchta pakhwada.
A cultural programme including debate, symposium, skits and prize distribution function were also organised at sports stadium in main function. Sarpanchs, ADC Kathua Bharat Bushan, BDO O D Attari, Chief Education Officer Chand Kishroe Sharma, principals and district administration were also present on the occasion. |
