Cornered Geelani seeks help from terrorists; Latram activates Al-Umar
Kashmir Unrest

Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 15: Life limping back to normal in Kashmir and people openly defying the protest calendar have led to Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani getting cornered. He is trying to pass on the baton to terrorists to maintain the hegemony of his group.
Sources told Early Times that Geelani and his aides are trying to seek help from their bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) to keep the situation disturbed in Kashmir. "Separatists have informed their handlers that unrest cannot pro-long anymore as the Police have cracked the whip over stone-pelters and the miscreants due to which vehicular movement has increased in Kashmir and shops have started reopening," sources revealed.
They said, "Separatists have asked their handlers to ask the terrorists to carry out attacks in the crowded places so that their writ can prevail and people who have started defying the shutdown call fall in line and get terrorized."
It's in place to mention here after a long time a local terror outfit Al-Umar has claimed the responsibility for the attack on security forces at Zakura on Friday evening. The terror outfit headed by notorious Mushtaq Latram had become defunct long back. Latram was released along with JeM terrorist Masood Azhar in 2000 in exchange of the hostages of the Indian Airlines aircraft which was hijacked by the Pakistan backed terrorists and taken to Kandhar in Afghanistan. Since then Latram has been lying low in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). On Saturday Al-Umar terror outfit claimed that its cadres attacked the patrolling party of Sema Suraksha Bal (SSB) at Zakura in Srinagar outskirts. In the attack one SSB jawan was killed and eight others sustained injuries. Al-Umar in nineties killed many civilians in Srinagar city after labeling them as Mukhbirs and it cadres were infamous for extortion and terrorizing people.
Sources said the attack on SSB jawans is an indication that terrorists are slowly trying to take over from the separatists and are making an attempt to create nineties like situation. "The attack being carried out in darkness is an attempt to disrupt the night life in Kashmir so that security forces set up nakas and prevent people from moving out in the late hours," said a source.
He said that since the day Indian Army crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and destroyed the launching pads of terrorists in PoK, the terror groups have been unnerved and they are making attempts to strike in a big way. "After the spell of shutdowns is over there is every possibility about terror activities increasing in Kashmir, especially in Srinagar city and adjoining areas as terrorists are desperate and are feeling threatened that after launching pads Indian Army may attack their training camps in PoK and destroy these," he added.
Sources said that at present Geelani and company stand isolated and they are trying their best to pass on the "game of destruction and violence" to terrorists to keep the pot boiling.
