Jammu Oct 15: A special meeting was organized by Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu today where Dr Atamjit, internationally renowned Chandigarh based Punjabi playwright was welcomed by the president, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu and had a view of the upcoming Punjabi Bhawan at Rani Talab, Digiana, Jammu. Local writers and the officials of the Sabha joined the meeting. Literary interaction took place between the intellectuals and information on various developments and conduct of activities in Jammu as well as in Chandigarh and Punjab were exchanged. Among others the followings prominent writers and intellectuals present were S. Devender Singh Vishavnagrik, Dr. Monojit, Swami Antarneerav and Jang S. Verman. Dr. Atamjit was in Jammu in connection with the performance of his Punjabi play Mureya Laaman Ton written, directed and performed by Dr Atamjit, in the 'Sarhe Praunhe' programme of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Jammu. This solo performance was staged at K L Saigal Hall of the Academy. |
