Provide temporary shelters to fire victims

Mendhar, Oct 19: Chairman Mendhar Youth Club Advocate Nadeem Rafiq Hussain Khan and President Press Council of Mendhar Poonch M S Nazki has urged the Government to take immediate steps for providing the temporary shelters to the fire victims of village Sukhnoi who have been forced to take shelter under open sky after the devastating fire of October 16. Nadeem said as the entire village was razed to ground in the devastating fire and the people be provided immediate relief and ration to feed themselves. He also appealed the philanthropist organizations and NGOs to dispatch the clothes and blankets to the village as poor people lost every thing in the fire. The Council President said in view of the coming Winter the Government should start work on construction of shelters for the hapless people on war footing basis as the people can't afford to live in open in the chilly winter which starts from beginning of November in this hilly belt.
Nadeem said the Government should provide free ration as well as fodder for cattle to the people for one year.
