Separatists slammed for vandalization

srinagar, Oct 19: The separatists are facing public ire on social networking sites for 'advocating' vandalizing of public property and beating up the people.
For last two weeks, the miscreants who were enforcing the shutdown call of separatists, set many vehicles on fire. The violence irked many people who vented their anger on the social media.
"What was done by a poor autowallah? Why was his autorickshaw set on fire? Why no condemnation from SAS Geelani," a Facebook user posted on his wall.
Another user replied, "These miscreants do all this on behalf of their masters…separatists."
A Facebook post by one Rabiya said, "Separatists' children are studying abroad and get crores from across the border. They are interested in keep the pot boiling."
Rabiya's post triggered a barrage of comments. Bilal replied: "We need freedom from these people who are hell bent to burn schools, vehicles, and beat up the people."
Hamid Ahmad posted: "Who will feed their families whose autos, Sumos have been set on fire? Expose the people on whose behalf they do such criminal acts."
On Wednesday, a Scorpio was set on fire by some miscreants at Sadrabal, Hazratbal. Similarly, a passenger Scorpio was set on fire at Delina, Baramulla. Unmasked youth also ransacked JK Bank's Natipora branch and beat up employees there. Similar incidents reportedly happened in other parts of the Valley. A PDP leader's house was also attacked in south Kashmir.
Private vehicles and autorickshaws are plying normally on the roads for the last few weeks. Even the street vendors have set up their stalls. But there are some people who are enforcing shutdown. And those who don't adhere to their orders are beaten to the pulp. These miscreants cause disturbances by harassing shopkeepers, creating disruptions in traffic movement by placing obstructions and burning the vehicles to enforce shutdown.
Earlier on Monday, the miscreants set ablaze two Tata Sumos. The owners were seen weeping when these vehicles were set on fire.
Two autorickshaws were set ablaze in Saida Kadal and Baba Demb localities of Srinagar last week. The setting of the rickshaws on fire drew flak from the people who were demanding that these miscreants should be put behind bars.
According to official details, many school buildings were set ablaze in four districts of south Kashmir. As per these details, a building of government high school at Vihil was set on fire.
A high school building in Anantnag district went up in flames following clashes between protesters and forces. Police has said that some miscreants set the school building on fire. Similarly, Islamia Hanfia Educational Institute at Lal Chowk in Anantnag district, the oldest building in the area was gutted in fire. A school in Yaripora of south Kashmir was also set on fire.
As per official details, a middle school in south Kashmir's Shopian was set ablaze. A school was set ablaze in north Kashmir's Pattan.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Mirhama area of Anantnag district and a school in Zewan were also gutted.
