Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 19: High court's first puisne judge, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B S Walia today closed the PIL on shifting of the district court complex, Kishtwar, to the old DC office complex after the senior AAG produced the government order in this regard. The court directive came in a petition filed by Bar Association, Kishtwar. The senior AAG produced the communication in the court, conveying the approval to the handing of the entire old DC office complex, Kishtwar, to judiciary. The communication No Rev/Lit/PIL/208/ of October 17, 2016 was issued by Deputy Secretary (Legal), Revenue Department, and addressed to the divisional commissioner, Jammu, with copies to DC, Kishtwar, and the deputy advocate general. After the senior AAG produced the communication in the court, it was taken on record. She also furnished a copy of the communication to the Kishtwar bar's counsel. After considering the submissions of the petitioner's counsels, Justice Sudhakar, in view of the production of the requisite communication, closed the proceedings of the PIL. (JNF) |
