Eary Times Report Jammu, Oct 21: Renowned painters and lens man of Jammu, O P Sharma participated in All India Painters Camp (AIPC), recently organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at Patni Top. According to press release, the camp was inaugurated by Dr. Aziz Hajini, Secretary, Cultural Academy on October 16, 2016. Twelve artists from different places of the country participated in this camp including Aftab Ahmed, Shahida Malik and Asif Ali Khan from Srinagar, Romesh Bhosale from Pune, Surjit Akre from Punjab, Mange Ram and Dr. Ashk Dixit from New Delhi, O P Sharma, K K Gandhi, Vinay Khajuria and Malti Sharma from Jammu and Kunzas Zangmo from Ladakh. O P Sharma was invited to this all India level camp keeping in view his contribution in the field of art and culture. He has participated in many International and National Artists' Camps at different places in the country like Saharanpur, Pune, Raj Bhawan, Dehradun and Jaipur. O P Sharma has been awarded by National Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi; Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar (once for Painting and once for Photography) and Camlin All India Award. |
