Saahil Suhail Early Times Report Anantnag, Oct 21: Suspected terrorists on Friday shot dead a teenager in Arwani area of South Kashmir's Bijbehara who they had kidnapped a few days ago. According to official reports, terrorists had abducted at least five youths from Arwani Bijbehara in past few days. They said that a police team found the bullet riddled body of a youth in Kujar area Kulgam district on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as Shameem Ahmad Patloo, s/o Ab Aziz Patloo, r/o Arwani Kulgam. Shameem, a domestic worker, was shot in neck. He was missing from his home for some days, reports said. The dead body of slain was brought to sub-district hospital Frisal and after medical formalities including postmortem was handed over to family for burial. They family of the slain youth is in shock and haven't made any statement yet. Notably, on late Thursday evening, unidentified gun men shot at and injured a youth in South Kashmir's Shopian district. He was identified as Mohammad Amir Bhat, s/o Mohammad Younis Bhat, r/o Chermarag 27-year-old was hit by bullet in his right leg and was rushed to Anantnag hospital. A police official who wished not be named said that terrorists had kidnapped five youths from the area. "Among five, they (Militants) shot dead one and released another youth after beating him ruthlessly while three others are still in their custody," he said. "Families of the kidnapped youth aren't cooperating with us," he added, He, however said that police have started an operation to neutralize the kidnappers and bring back the abducted youth safely. Meanwhile, in an another unfortunate incident, a government school building went up in flames in a mysterious fire incident at Watoo Aharbal in Kulgam late Thursday night. Reports said that single storey building of Government Girls Middle School Watoo was gutted completely in the fire incident. Local sources said that flames appeared from the school building around 10:30 PM last night. They said that fire tenders were rushed to the spot but until then most parts of the school building was damaged. |
