Jammu, Oct 28: The one week ICT based short term course on optimization using MATLAB, organized by department of Mechanical Engineering SMVDU in collaboration with the NITTTR concluded today.
According to press release, the course was an interdisciplinary course covering a wide range of participants not only from engineering background but also science, management etc. The course focused on the Optimization i.e. finding the ultimate or the best solution of the multivariate problems using a soft tool MATLAB.
The course was jointly coordinated by Er. Yatheshth Anand, Astt. Prof., DoME, FoE, SMVDU and Dr. Naveen Gondhi, Astt. Prof., DoCSE, FoE, SMVDU along with the NITTTR Chandigarh.
The course covered a wide range of topics pertaining to optimization. The discussions/lectures were delivered by some eminent professors and were focused on the linear programming problems; their formation & travelling salesman problems with a training emphasis on MATLAB. |
