| Several villages in Surankote lack basic amenities | | | MS Nazki

Poonch , Jan 18: Several peripheral villages in subdivision Surankote have been witnessing lack of basic amenities yet the district and tehsil administration seems to have been in deep slumber sources said here today.
They said several village including Chandimarh, Poshana Buffliaz, Marh, Lassana, Surankote town and Fazlabad areas have no water, electricity and road connectivity .
A number of natives while talking to Early Times revealed that sub division Surankote is far off area and water supply to this division was very poor. There was no other arrangement to meet the requirement of the people.
Villagers alleged that road connectivity was in dilapidated condition while the power problem was also being faced by them. They alleged that Primary Health Centres were not working 24*7 and villagers were facing hardships when they need a medical aid during the nights they added.
Locals alleged that tehsil administration as well as district authorities were taking lenient view of the problems being confronted by the people they further added
Social worker of the area Aakash Malik has urged the Governor and DDC Poonch to take serious note of pathetic approach of the concerned departments including PHE, PDD and Rural Development department which have failed to look into the problems of the people. He said the basic facility to the people should be made available in this hilly sub division at the earliest. |
