Congress Sewa Dal criticizes for ignoring of locals in industries | | | Early Times Report Vijaypur, Sept 1: Congress Seva Dal has criticized the polices of industries, according to which locals have been ignored for jobs while open violation of pollution related norms. Addressing media persons, Raj Kumar Bhagat District President Congress Sewa Dal said at the time of setting up industrial growth centre, at Samba it was told that the 90% jobs will be provided to the local youths and it will be the responsibility of industries to provide the vocational training to the educated local youths. Moreover, it was also settled that the industries will, set the equipments/ infrastructures/ pollution control devices within the industries to prevent the pollution. But on ground no such terms and conditions have been implemented, he said. The industries have engaged maximum skilled as well as staff workers outside the State and engaged the contractor for providing labour. The contractors eaten the maximum benefits being provided to the labourer as per the Labour Law and also not providing the wages as per norms of labour law. Moreover, the industries have no set up pollution control devices for prevention of pollution land in resultant the adjoining area as well as Basanter river is being polluted due to the discharging of untreated waste. The 'President Sewa Dal urged the Governor to issue directions to the administration to get their issues considered. |
