9/1/2019 11:03:38 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 1: Head of the department of Cardiology Super Speciality hospital jammu, Dr. Sushil Sharma today conducted a day long camp with the residents of Ratnuchak village at Major Dhanantar Singh Narania Memorial Trust Disease Management Centre.
He observed that the concern of affordability which has largely been responsible for increase in cardiovascular and other major ailments can be contained by availing the benefits under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
This healthcare initiative of the Government will have a positive impact on nearly half of our population. It ensures a major change in terms of transforming the country's healthcare scenario for all. The scheme reflects determination to provide succour to the poorest of the poor and the middle class in terms of healthcare.
He opined that Ayushman Bharat Yojna is very essential for people who otherwise felt abandoned in the development trajectory due to their low social and economic status. It aimed at providing portable coverage of Rs. 5 lac per family annually, and a beneficiary covered under the scheme would be allowed to avail cashless benefits from any public and private empanelled hospitals across the country.
Dr. Sushil while elaborating on the yojna said, earlier poor man used to be in dilemma whether to fulfil daily needs of his family or save the life of an ailing member but with such schemes in place, large number of people from the lower side of socio-economic spectrum become benefitted.
In order to make the intended objective of this scheme meaningful and fully workable, he exhorted both formal and informal agencies to make larger awareness of this scheme so that the noble vision of Health For All under this yojna can be reaped by the needful.
Residents of the area Girdhari Singh, Dilbagh Singh, Kaviraj Sharma, Qwabla Singh and Kishore Singh appreciated the efforts of Dr Sushil and his team for conducting Cardiac awareness camp in their locality for the needy patients.
Others who were part of this humane effort included Dr. Abdul Hamid and Dhaneshwar Kapoor. Paramedics and volunteers Include Dr. Vivak Arya , Raghav Rajput, Gourav Sharma , Vikas Kumar, Aman Gupta, Akshay Kumar, Manav Khurana, Rajinder Singh, Maninder Singh and Rohit Chalotra.
