People decry over irregular plying of passenger vehicles on some routes

Reasi, Feb 16: Traffic violation has been going on unchecked in Reasi district, where passenger vehicles in some routes are plying on irregular manner due to which people particularly students have been suffering a lot.
Sources told that overloading has become common thing in the district. “There are 10-15 Mini buses have been deployed from Reasi to Pouni routes, 10-15 mini buses Pouni to Bhamla, and Pouni to Shiv Khori (Ransoo) up down. But drivers and its union ply on half passengers vehicles,” they said further adding that due to which overloading has been common thing which can be seen from the picture, where passengers sitting on roof top of vehicles and using mobile phones.
They further said that there are many drivers, who are plying vehicles without DL, without complete documents, old model vehicles being used but traffic police has been sitting silent.
There are many traffic nakas are in Katra, Reasi town but there is no naka in Pouni, Ransoo, Bhalma, routes. ARTO Reasi Ramesh Samotra, when contacted, his mobile phone showing call divert while DTI Traffic Police mobile phone giving switch off tone. Locals public, students appealed DC Reasi to ply vehicles regular on these routes.
