DDC Udhampur reviews RDD sector achievements
Stresses on quality, adherence to set timelines

UDHAMPUR, Aug 9: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr. Piyush Singla, today reviewed the Panchayat wise progress of works, payments made to labourers and other progress indicators under MGNREGA, besides expenditure incurred under other rural sector schemes, here at a meeting of officers and field functionaries of Rural Development Department (RDD).
At the outset, Assistant Commissioner Development Mushtaq Chowdhary, gave a detailed power point presentation about the progress under different schemes of RDD sector.
He informed that 2471 works have been approved as per action plan under different Finance Commissions, while 106 Community Sanitary Complexes have been completed under SBM. Similarly, out of 82 ponds taken up under Jeevika project, 71 have been completed.
Dr. Singla took detailed review of progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), District, block, panchayat wise wage disbursement, labour budget performance, Physical and financial status of CSCs under SBM-G, Physical status report under 14th FC, construction of panchayat garhs, Technical sanction of new works etc.
The DDC also assessed the status of convergence plan to be taken up with various line departments and the progress of works under MGNREGA & SBM (G). He directed BDOs to complete the ongoing works within one month. He also early clearance of the pendency issues and removing bottlenecks, if any to avoid delay in the execution of works.
He further asked field functionaries to not to leave their station, remain accessible to the public, maintain tour dairy and submit report to ACD, regularly.
He stressed on completion of sanitary complexes and asked to construct Community Sanitary Complex at all potential tourists places.
About PMAY (G), the DDC asked BDOs to complete all sanctioned houses within this financial year.
The DDC asked ACD to organise capacity building workshop for all newly appointed BDOs. He also advised newly appointed BDOs to make first posting of career as remarkable by working hard and leave good imprints of their achievements.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Ashok Kumar; CPO Rajeev Bhushan; PO IWMP Sapna Kotwal; Xen REW Bashir Sheikh; all BDOs, officers and technical staff of line departments.
