PDD starts Mobile Bill Distribution Van to deliver bills at Consumers' Doorsteps

JAMMU, Jan 23: Power Development Department today started Mobile Bill Distribution Van to deliver Electricity Bills of the Consumers at their doorsteps. Under the directions of Chief Engineer Distribution Sh. Gurmeet Singh, led by Executive Engineer, Electric Division-II Sh.PD Singh , Gandhi Nagar and Nitin Mahajan, AEE today started Mobile Bill Distribution Vans which served bills to several consumers at remote villages of Babliana and Chattha . The Mobile Bill Distribution Van shall continue its endeavour to deliver bills at consumers' doorsteps during the next few days.
As per official spokesman, The consumers were also urged to pay their bills before 27th of every month to avoid any late fee payment charges. Also,the consumers were apprised that many Government schemes have been launched to improve electricity Scenario in rural areas during the last year, so to enjoy uninterrupted power supply, people should install meters and pay their electricity bills on time. The consumers can now pay electricity bills online as well using the Bill Sahuliyat and Mpay App, the J&K PDD has now tied up with Bharat Bill Pay which is a pan India App and the consumers have options to pay their bills through various platforms. The PDD Officials also appealed to the people having huge pending arrears to immediately clear their dues as a drive to disconnect the connections of those having huge pending arrears shall be launched very soon.
Those who participated in the drive include Nitin Mahajan, Assistant Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer Rajesh Sharma, Keshav Khajuria, Junior Engineer Itender Pal Singh, Sahil Gupta, Tech-III and other field Staff.
