Jammu, Jan 19 Following persistent demand of the members, Speaker Legislative Assembly Tara Chand today announced constitution of a House committee to look into the huge encroachment on sate owned property in various parts of the country and its mismanagement.
The issue evoked huge uproar when Congress member Yogesh Sawhney dissatisfied by the reply on his question alleged that like previous governments, coalition has also failed to vacate the encroachment on the state property which could earn crores of rupees in the form of rent every year for state exchequer.
Members from both treasury benches who were on their feet expressed deep concern over failure of subsequent governments to vacate encroachments on state owned property in Delhi, Mumbai , Chandigarh and Amritsar.
