JAMMU, Oct 24: A cross-section of society feels that the Omar-led coalition government has been piling up woes of the common man by allegedly adopting anti-people policies.
They said the NC-Congress coalition government seemed to be in a very bad state due to the alleged rampant corruption and "misgovernance". Sudhanshu of Gandhi Nagar said because of corruption in the state administration, development had taken a backseat and the government had become totally unresponsive to the woes of the common man.

JAMMU, Oct 24: Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has recently launched an urgent appeal asking for the release of a former Kashmiri militant who has allegedly been arrested by Pakistani secret agencies.
The AHRC has written a separate letter to the UN Working Group on Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances and Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment calling for urgent intervention into this matter.
