Jammu, Nov 20: BJP in J&K is for sure going the Congress way, rather one step ahead of it. Narendra Modi's move to celebrate Diwali with the flood victims in Kashmir was worth praise but it had evoked a mixed response in Jammu where people hold the view that the Prime Minister must have come here too as the region had suffered more loss in terms of life and property in the unprecedented September floods, rains and landslides. They felt that "BJP too seems to have inherited from Congress the policy of Appeasement of Kashmiris". That the party is opportunist also became clear when yesterday, its "high-profile" state vice-president and advocate Ramesh Arora surprised all in Jammu region by going against the party line of abrogation of article 370, which grants special status to J&K.
Talking to reporters in Srinagar on Wednesday, Arora asked the people of Kashmir to make BJP candidates successful and assured them that "if the party comes to power in J&K, Islam will flourish under its rule and Kashmiris will feel more secure".

Jammu, Nov 20: The administrative weirdness of Health and Medical Education department could be gauged from fact that many officers, who have been holding prime posts, have not been officially confirmed on lower posts.

SRINAGAR, Nov 20: Police and security forces claimed to have killed three militants in an operation that culminated late in the evening in the restive Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. The identity of slain militants has not been established so far.
