Fake currency racket busted
Two government employees among four arrested

Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 19 A joint team of Rajouri and City Jammu police busted a fake currency racket active in the city and other border districts of the state and recovered about Rs 50,000 in total from their possession. According to reports last evening after the arrest of two government employees at main bazaar Rajouri with 20 thousand rupees in fake currency the joint team of police arrested two more persons in this regard from Jammu City from a hotel at Shalamar road. The arrested persons have been identified as Fiyaz and Amin both residents of Anantnag, Kashmir. It is pertinent to mention here that Rajouri Police last evening arrested two government employees from the Rajouri town involved in circulating fake currency in the state. Following their preliminary interrogation the investigating Rajouri police team received the inputs that two more persons of the same racket were staying in a hotel in Jammu city. New Delhi | Dec 19 Aiming at a nine per cent growth, the 11th Plan took off today with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh cautioning against the price pressures on food items and the adverse impact of global financial crisis on the economy. The five-year plan (2007-12) was approved by the National Development Council, the highest policy making body of the Centre and the states, amid demands by the Chief Ministers for greater flow of funds to them for tackling regional imbalances. Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 19 Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has called for thrust on infrastructure capacity building and modification of financing patterns of the centrally sponsored schemes to percolate the benefits of five year plan.
