Azad launches Rs. 7 crore Devik project

Jammu, April 07 Launching ambitious Devik conservation, protection and beautification project at Udhampur today, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad said that this would realize a long-cherished demand of people. The Rs. 7.08 crore project envisages beautification of surroundings of the water body having religious significance as well. The project also promises conservation and flood protection aspects. Mr. Azad said that immediately after this long-pending demand was brought to his notice, he took the required measures to get the project sanctioned from the Government of India. Chief Minister said that a new meaning is being given to entire development effort in the state by ensuring development of urban alongwith rural areas. “While we are striving for transforming our rural face so far as availability of basic facilities are concerned and bringing villages at par with towns, efforts are also on to upgrade the cities and towns. JAMMU, APRIL 07 In much publicized Chopra murder case, in which police arrested two real brothers Mahesh and Rushi sons of Permada resident of Village Khaijara Chack, District, Gunna (MP),Incharge Police Station Trikuta Nagar produced the accused in custody before the Court and also produced case dairy. The accused were arrested on January 6, 2007 in connection with FIR No 107/2006 for offence u/s 302 RPC (Chopra murder case). Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu Mr. Sanjay Dhar while granting remand observed that Court heard accused and perused the case dairy. Prestigious Dul Hasti power station starts generation

Jammu, Apr 07 After a long wait and many hiccups, the prestigious 390 MW Dul Hasti Hydro-Electric Power Station commissioned in mountainous Kishtwar district, at least 270 Kms from here, of Jammu and Kashmir, around mid night last. Though the power generation was started on trail basis couple of days back, the commercial generation of power started with effect from 00 Hrs today.
