Comprehensive Plan undertaken for development of Srinagar: Sagar

Early Times Report srinagar, May 12:Reiterating the government’s commitment for ensuring the holistic development of the Srinagar city, the Minster for Rural Development and Panchayti Raj, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that a comprehensive plan has been undertaken to ensure beatification of the historic city on heritage pattern, besides taking the requisite steps for bringing it on the tourist map. The Minster was interacting with scores of deputations of different localities during his visit to the old city to oversee the arrangements put in place for Urs of Bahav-ud-Din-GanjBaksh and the pace of the beautification work on the HazratBulBulSahab Shrine. Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Dr. G.N.Qasba and other senior officers of different departments accompanied the Minister. The Minister directed the officers to ensure that a fool proof mechanism is put in place during the ensuing the Urs days of the Bahuv-ud-Din Sahaib, so that the devotees coming to pay obeisance do not face any inconvenience. 10,000 tents for quake victims: Kichloo thanks Centre

Early Times Report srinagar, May 12: Minister of State for Industries & Commerce and Home, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, today welcomed the Centre’s decision of sanctioning 10,000 tents for earthquake-affected areas of erstwhile Doda district. This will be in addition to the 1,000 tents and 2,000 blankets already sent by Red Cross Society of India from New Delhi. The Minister said this while visiting various quake-affected areas of Kishtwar district here today. SRINAGAR: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar, on the directions of Chief Minister, today visited the residence of late Farooq Ahmad, ASI at Batmaloo, who was recently killed by some unidentified persons at Pulwama for consoling the bereaved family.
