Jammu, May 29, Holding picture of Subedar Assa Singh, one of the 54 prisoners of war believed to be languishing in Pakistani jails in her arms, silent prayer on her lips and blessings of God almighty and all other near and dear ones, Nirmal Kour, flanked by her seven children from all sides, on Tuesday evening stepped out of her house in search of her missing husband in foreign land. Before starting her journey she also appealed to the International red cross society and various NGO’s,social and political organizations working in Pakistan to come forward and help them reunite with their loved ones languishing in different Pakistani jails for past 36 years. "I appeal to all the agencies working in Pakistan to come to our aid and help us reach our loved ones kept in differnt Pakistami jails for pat 36 years," Nirmal Kour said before embarking on her lifes’ toughest and longest journeys ever in search of her husband all alone. BL KAK NEW DELHI, May 29: The term 'fatwa' is often made use of in places and countries with the presence of a substantial number of Muslims. Now a fatwa has come from a scholar in Cairo's Al-Azhar University. It is con sidered to be the world's leading Suni university. A fatwa by an Islamic scholar permitting women to breastfeed adults with whom they work has culminated in his suspension from the university. The scholar has been identifed as Dr Izzat Atiyaa. Civic authorities are ready with their teams to seize any rickshaw plying the main roads of the area from Friday (June 1) following a formal notification issued by the Delhi Traffic Police last Friday, banning cycle rickshaws, hand carts and animal-driven vehicles. The cycle rickshaws are to be replaced by a fleet of 15 CNG-propelled buses, which would arrive at the stops every two minutes and charge a flat fee of Rs5. BL KAK NEW DELHI, May 29: Minister for External Affairs, Pranab Mukherjee, has achieved a major breakthrough by making China accept the idea favouring first defence dialogue between New Delhi and Beijing. The two countries have agreed to set dates for their first defence dialogue. This follows a 40-minute meeting in Hamburg between Pranab Mukherjee and his Chinese counterpart, Yang Jiechi.
