State Gujjar, Bakerwal community condemn police firing in Rajasthan

Poonch | May 30 The Jammu and Kashmir, Gujjar Bakerwal Welfare Organization has strongly condemned the police firing on members of Gujjar community in various parts of Rajasthan resulting into the death of 10 people. The Association in its meeting held here today has called for putting an end to brutal acts of police and warned of dire consequences. Mohammed Younis President of the Association has described the act of police as undemocratic and brutal and demanded judicial enquiry against the incidents. He said Gujjar community in Jammu and Kashmir expresses its solidarity with their brethren in Rajasthan for their just genuine constitutional right. JAMMU | MAY 30 Pahalwan Pamma from Punjab lifted 27th Gran Mord Kesari 2007 here today. The Dangal was conducted by Gran Mord Dangal committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Pamma of Punjab thrashed Pahalwan Gurvinder of Amritsar in 13 minutes tough bout and lifted the best Malli. He was also awarded with cash prize of Rs. 3100 in addition to a shawl. Loser Pahalwan was given cash prize of Rs. 2000 About 46 bouts were played in the annual Vishal Dangal. Jammu | May 30 Various Sikh organizations staged strong protest against the ‘sacrilege act and blasphemy’ here today at Satwari chowk. The protestors raising slogans against the Dera Sacha Souda Punjab demanded early arrest of the said Mahant who figured himself as a 10th Guru Gobind Singh Ji. NEW DELHI, MAY 30 With alliance partners Congress and PDP having taken divergent stands on troop cut in Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is here meeting senior Central leaders apprising them about the militancy situation in the state.
