Jammu, July 21: The new Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Kuldeep Khoda has warned his Police of serious action against dereliction of duty.
After taking over as Police chief, Khoda today had a prolonged interaction with the officers and men of the Police at Srinagar. He lectured them extensively and heard them patiently but the end reminded them quire honestly that misconduct shall not be tolerated.
He said that while the good work by the officers and jawans would be encouraged, but at the same time any misconduct and dereliction of duty would also be viewed seriously

Jammu, July 21
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, representative of Global Human Rights Defence, today released a 30-page report on minority human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir state for the year 2006-2007.The report also carried 73 pictures depicting scenes of atrocities on minorities committed by militants.
While releasing the report Mr Chrungoo said that the document will be included in the Global report to be released in September 2007.He said that the report includes incidents of human violations on all minorities including Kashmiri Pandits.Dogras,Sikhs,Christians.

National Conference today alleged that the election of Legislative Council Chairman was unconstitutional and said that the party will approach the Governor and appeal him to exercise his constitutional powers to declare the election as null and void.
