Early Times Report BUDGAM, July 6 : The Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Mr. Ab Rahim Rather today said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah and his entire administration is working overtime to explore a comprehensive solution to the un-employment problem in the State so that maximum number of youth are provided jobs in both public and private sectors. He said there are about 6.50 lakhs unemployed youth registered with various Employment and Counselling centres of the State. Addressing a public gathering at Badipora in Tehsil Chadoora today, Mr. Rather said that the government in fully abreast with the pain and agony of un-employed youth and “we want to remove gloom and despair from their faces. He said all the available employment opportunities are being pooled to launch a comprehensive employment drive in the State. He said employment drive under the proposed plan shall be on fast track basis. Jammu-based IAF's unit rescued 690 in Uttarakhand

Early Times Report Jammu, July 6 : Warriors of IAF's 130 Helicopter Unit(HU), based in Jammu, flew 74 sorties ferrying 789 people, including stranded pilgrims, in rain-devastated Uttarakhand. Squadron Leader Shiv Shankaram and his team flew a total of 74 sorties supplying 25 tonnes of ration and relief material, an IAF spokesman said here today. The IAF chopper ferried 99 NDRF and police personnel to the flood zone and rescued 690 stranded people, including pilgrims, he said. The personnel of Air Force Station Jammu (130 HU) unit participated in relief and rescue efforts in the hill state of Uttarakhand which witnessed widespread death and destruction wrought by recent monsoon rains....

Early Times Report Srinagar, July 6 : Two weeks after 911 fresh recruits of Jammu and Kashmir police went on a rampage over the delay in their passing out parade, they were inducted into the force at a function at Manigam Police Training School today.
