Jammu, Aug 12: The devastating fire in the Army ammunition depot in South Kashmir has given yet another big issue to the Peoples Democratic Party to campaign against the presence of Army in the civilian areas.
PDP President, who arrived from New Delhi in Srinagar this morning to rush to the Kundroo explosion site has said presence of huge ammunition depots amidst the civilian areas is a looming risk for the people living there and yesterday's incident at Khundroo has only reiterated such dangers.

Jammu, Aug 12: A woman is reported to have exfiltrated to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) from Poonch district while militants shot dead a Special Police Official in a remore village of Kishtwar district.
Reports said, Naseema Akhtar daughter of Mohmmad Jamal crossed over to PoK via Line of Control from Digwar area of Poonch district last night. Her family reported the matter to the police.
Meanwhile, a Special Police Officer (SPO) was today shot dead by militants in Kishtwar district.
Reports said that SPO identified as Sher Mohammad was returning home, when militants intercepted him near his village Kotal in Kuntwara belt of the district this afternoon, they said.

Jammu, Aug 12: Perhaps for the first time in the judicial history of the country, the Prime Minister's Office has returned a proposal for the appointment of High Court Judges to the Supreme Court.
It is reliably learnt that the Prime Minister has send the file to the Law Ministry with note to forward the same to the Supreme Court. One of the Judges whom the Prime Minister did not approve for appointment to the Supreme Court belongs to the Jammu and Kashmir High Court while the other Judge is from the Gujarat High Court.
