Reasi admin intends to turn hostel into youth club
Poor students told to vacate
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 27: Despite having healthy infrastructure at his disposal for establishment of youth club, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi, Dr Sagar Dattatray Doifode intends to Boys Hostel Government Higher Secondary School in to youth club.
Sources privy to the development said the district administration has communicated to the hostlers to vacate.
Concerned citizens have taken strong note of the development. According to them, the hostlers have been already shifted along with their luggage to a two room accommodation. They added that the administration has started construction work at the site. Pertinent to mention, the hostel owned by the education department has hosted poor students from far flung areas for several decades. The shifting, locals said, will affect their studies adversely especially when their examinations are drawing closer.
The locals said that the a number of buildings are available to the administration where the youth club can be run effectively. They want the administration to select a building near to the stadium for youth club.
"Huge chunk of land of administration has been encroached, but instead of vacating it, the district administration is harassing the poor students," the locals said claiming that the funds for the youth club have been released from the state exchequer.
