NSF protests against 'non issuance' of orders to selected candidates

Jammu, Sept 11: Expressing concerns over the selection procedure of nodal agency State Staff Recruitment Board (SSRB), the National Secular Forum (NSF) staged protest in University Campus against the failure of the government and the said board for declaring select lists and issue orders to selected candidates for the various posts of Jammu even after a passage of almost two years.
Addressing the media persons here today, Dr Vikas Sharma flayed the SSRB for none releasing the select lists of various posts of Jammu region referred to it during the last two years for recruitment. He said that even with the process of interviews having been completed more than 20 months back, the select lists have randomly and wrongfully been withheld with respect to various districts of Jammu region. He questioned in particular the undue delay in the release of lists of Draftsmen, Accounts Assistants, JSA, SA and teachers whose interviews were conducted in 2010-11.
Castigating the neglect on the part of SSRB in issuance of teachers lists of various Districts of Jammu region which had adversely affected academic activity in various schools across the Jammu region, Sharma claimed that more than 26500 posts of teachers including Masters Headmasters and lecturers were vacant in the state and majority of them in Jammu region schools. Expressing concern over the non filling up of the vacancies in SSRB including its chairman and members, he said that the state government. He demanded early filling up of the vacancies in SSRB and early release of select lists of various until categories to turn aside any further chances of instability and violent behavior on the part of unemployed youth. Among those who were present in the protest included Surjit Choudhary, Ravi Choudhary, Sukdev Singh, Sunil Kumar, Balveer Kumar, Narinder Singh, Jagmohan Singh, Vimal Singh, Ankit Raina and others.
