NC-Cong differences ruining prospects of 'ties' in future......!

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 11: A direct fall out of increasing differences and bickering on political front between Congress and National Conference is that these are only ruining the prospects of stronger ties between the two parties for future , no matter the leadership of both the allies in a bid to make damage control come out with statements to paint a picture of 'all is well' with the coalition and it has grown stronger ever. This is in contrast to the fact that gulf is deepening and disillusionment against each other is growing fast within both the parties.
Ruling National Conference may well be complacent about it having emerged 'triumphant' in continuance of the party in the steering with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah all set to be in the chair for full tenure, but all is certainly not well in so far as the reports of the party with New Delhi is concerned . Sources said that consequent upon incessant complaints through letters as also the grouse expressed verbally by some senior leaders of the Congress to high command about Congress getting a 'B' team treatment in the coalition and the party Ministers having not much say in the key matters , the point has been well registered with the quarters that matter in High Command.
Sources said it is on the basis of the such reports conveyed from time to time by delegations of Congress comprising even Ministers besides JKPCC leaders and legislators that Congress High Command has sought the youth wing of the party to start pro-active role on the matters which have been deliberately withheld or delayed by ruling National Conference, though it is not in favour of taking up direct cudgels or confrontation with the party at this stage when more than half of the tenure of the Government is over. Congress High Command is particularly perturbed over the reports that on account of NC swaying its 'flags' everywhere, the grass root level workers and cadres in Kashmir Valley as also in Jammu where the party has major political stakes are completely demoralized and they are gradually distancing themselves from the party activities.
While this is all a part of the old story, the fresh twist to the developments that have been seen with the NC and Congress is that Congress is not all inclined on continuance of the 'bonhomie' with NC during next Assembly elections. Sources said ample indications have been given by the leaders in New Delhi and this has been conveyed in a re-assuring way that it was only a matter of time that Congress had to pull on with this 'arrangement' after which the High Command would consider the new political options at the time of making new Government in 2014. Sources said in the close door meetings with key functionaries of Pradesh Youth Congress, the national president of IYC had also discussed the position of Congress unit in the State during which he too re-assured that cadres and workers need not feel disappointed as some meaningful measures were on anvil to convey to NC that Congress could not afford losing its base and ground at the cost of things moving at present the NC way.
